Hot and humid is how we’d describe the weather this week-end. It’s quite unusual for June in New Brunswick, Canada. We’ve run the gamut from nasty cold and wet to nice and sunny to hot and humid.

My friend, #JenniferHanson, runs the #HamptonRIdingCentre just outside the Town of Hampton. Yesterday she was hosting a Cross Country Riding (training) Clinic for young riders and I headed there to take some photos. On the way, I stopped by the Hampton Rotary Park by the marsh and couldn’t resist stopping for a while to capture some wild bird and waterfowl images.

I almost missed the heron but another photographer pointed him out to me. His (or her?) colouring blended into the murky water and grasses. As I was packing up to head off to my original destination, several other photographers arrived and began setting up at the water’s edge. A good day for it, I think!
