Where does the time go?

The past four months, since David died, have flown by. Most days, unless I check my phone, I have no idea what day, week or even month it is. The days just seem to blend, one into another.

Of course, since these have been, in reality, the coldest, darkest months of the year, that hasn’t helped a lot. Today, for the first time in a week, the sun is shining. It’s cold out, but the sky is blue and bright, and the air is crisp rather than the bone aching dampness and bitter cold the north winds brought for the last several days!

A good friend came for dinner the other night and brought some lovely purple tulips as a gift. They’ve been opening up rapidly. In the spring, although the blooms will be long gone, I’ll be able to plant the pot load of bulbs outside to enjoy over and over in future years (if the deer don’t find them first!).

And, speaking of eating, I took myself out to a local shop, the #Cobbler’sLaneFudgeFactory, for a late-morning snack. Their goodies are all homemade on site and today’s offering of thick corn chowder and sourdough herb toast was to die for!

At the moment, to keep myself busy, I’m participating in a photo-a-day (based on the alphabet) photo challenge. We are up to “h” so far, and here’s what I’ve submitted. Do you sense a theme?

Projects help to pass the time!
