Tough Anniversary

Today is the 6-month anniversary of the day that David took his own life. Losing a child, even an adult one, is, without a doubt, the most difficult thing any parent can ever face. In our case it was doubly difficult as Joel’s daughter, Samantha, died a mere fifteen months prior.

To keep myself occupied, I joined in on a photo challenge called #MonochromeMadness. I found it on Leanne Cole’s website at https://leannecole.com.au/monochrome-madness-outside-of-the-city-and-into-the-country/ where she posts some lovely images. She also finds others to ‘host’ and propose topics. This week’s topic, Everyday Items, came from Sarah at https://www.toonsarah-travels.blog/gallery-seeing-decay-in-black-and-white/

So, my contributions are:

My Dad’s braille watch

Some peppercorns… and

A tasty cupcake.

Enjoy!
