I took a walk down my favourite road, Mulberry Lane, just after lunch today. The sun was shining and the thermometer said 16ºC. I grabbed my camera and a jacket, thank goodness, and headed off in search of some almost-summer images.

In our garden, the assorted hostas have gone berserk with all of the rain and cooler temperatures we’ve had recently. Similarly, the bushes along the roadside are brimming with flowers and rich, deep colours!

The solitary tree in the middle of the under-renovation hayfield truly stood out – on its own and framed by the roadside foliage.
Meanwhile, as some dandelions were glowing in the sunlight, others were ready to be dispersed by the winds, spreading their seeds as far as possible.

The walk felt good as did the sun on my face. Still, it was good to get home and inside away from the incessant wind.
