The sky was cloudy today, but the remaining fall colours on the trees were spectacular!

There was a light mist hanging over the hills of Picadilly, NB, when I headed out to photograph a horse event at #Peekaboo Corner, a few kilometres down the road near Norton, NB.
Once I arrived at the event, I went to my favourite spot high on a hill overlooking the property. Despite a slight chill in the air and some definite dampness, I enjoyed wandering around the field choosing which jumps, for each of the three levels of competition represented, that I wanted to shoot. I managed to find several spots that would let me get nice shots of the competitors without many of the dreaded electricity and telephone wires in the background.

I didn’t have to wait long for the first competitors to show up.
First out of the gate was #37, Reegan Kaye on Kodack Moment. He lived up to his name!

Libby Demerchant on Mindy Lou Who was next to challenge the course.

The last competitor in the group was Robbie Stevenson piloting Picolo Mondo.

After a short break (so the jump judges could find their next spots) The second division began with Hazel Urquhart on Thunderpants.

She was followed by Jada Cawley on Cheval de Fer Dynamo Seven.

Scarlett Straight on Brand New Day was next on the course.

Kaaren Young-Lebert on Magnifique came up the hill next.

Reese Wanamaker finished off the division on Star of Jupiter.

After another short break to allow the hard-working jump judges to relocate, Sandra Nason-Sewell on WinClass tackled the course.

Followed by Judy Nevelos on Purrsuade Me.

And last, but not least, came Julia Smith and Thunderpants.

Matthew Straight and his crew of volunteers put on an excellent “Everyone Can Event” competition – enjoyed by all!
