It’s a sunny Sunday

The sun is shining brightly. Its strength, however, isn’t really strong enough to counter the stronger-than-expected north wind. Harley and I took a quick walk down Mulberry Lane and back to get a little fresh air and sunshine. It really felt good and even better when we got home and shut the wind out behind us. Brrr.

Yesterday Joel picked up a bouquet of assorted flowers for me to play with, photographically. They are lovely and I spent yesterday afternoon and this morning playing with them and also observing our neighbourhood woodpecker as he nibbled on the suet feeder.

Critters know when miserable weather is coming. I’m sure he and his friends are all stocking up as much as they can before tomorrow’s predicted blizzard dumps snow and wind on us all.

He’s so cute and even posed for me for a minute or two.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and to cheer you all up in advance of the storm, here are a few more flower photos to brighten your day!

Shades of yellow, green, pink and white alluding to spring arriving – someday – but not this week!

Stay warm and safe!
