Kings County is in the heart of the Kennebecasis Valley, New Brunswick. Surrounded by hills that are still, despite a few rain and wind storms, filled with colourful fall foliage.

Here and there, shrubs have retained their brilliant red hues, sheltered by surrounding evergreens from the worst of the elements.

While I was out and about this morning, I drove by the wee farm where we used to live. While the river was flowing quickly within its banks, the pond in front of the house was still and caught a reflection well.
Meanwhile, in Penobsquis, a lone eagle perched high in a tree scanning for his next meal.

Back in Picadilly, there was still lots of colour to be seen in the distant hills.
Autumn truly is a magical time, especially on a bright and sunny day.
Before the snow flies and the last of the leaves and berries fall, make sure you get out and enjoy all that Mother Nature has to offer.
