This morning’s bike ride took me through the local Nature Trail. The trees are beginning to change colour and display their soon-to-be brilliant fall foliage.
When you drive around the countryside you see the colours – but you miss so much. When you bicycle at a slower pace, not only do you get to enjoy the colours and bright sunshine, but you hear your wheels crunching on the gravel and swishing over the leaves AND you get to inhale the scents of the season. It’s my favourite time of year.
