He died and my heart is shattered in ways I could never have imagined.
My precious boy, who brought love and laughter to our home, and had an infectious smile and clever wit, is gone. I will miss him for the rest of my life and love him to eternity and back again.
David was born in New Brunswick but lived his adult life in British Columbia. He worked in the film industry and if the tributes that have poured in via Facebook, email and messages are anything to go by, he was well-liked personally and respected professionally. There were few tasks that he couldn’t master once he put his mind to. He was a good photographer and a talented woodworker.
David always wanted his own family and in 2007 he married Linnea (Sharples) and together they had two children, Mattias Evan and Isla Rose. He will be incredibly missed by his family: his mother Ceci (Joel) Snow of Picadilly, NB, his father Ian McLean(Elizabeth) of Burnaby, BC, Dan (Joanne) Flanagan of Fredericton NB, his mother-in-law Marilyn Sharples of North Vancouver, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, in-laws, and his many colleagues and friends around the world.
Whatever you do, if a friend or family member is in distress or showing signs mental illness, try to get them to seek professional help before it’s too late. Don’t let them brush aside your concerns or hide their pain beneath a carefully crafted exterior.
Capturing Cherished Memories 
They say the hardest pain one can experience is the loss of a child. My heart breaks for you and I know there are no words that ease that pain. My hope is that there comes a time you are able to celebrate his life and smile at your many happy memories of the life you shared. xox Prayers.
