Last year started out to be “iffy” but improved when my bestie and I took our long-delayed ‘girls trip’ and toured BC, visiting friends and relatives.

Then, it went downhill from there. Bestie’s husband was very ill all spring and summer. Joel’s beautiful daughter died in late July, followed by bestie’s husband in September and then a very close friend in November. All in all, a very sad several months for all concerned.
But now? It’s a new year and hopefully a better one!
We wrapped up the year with a quiet New Year’s Eve at home enjoying a delicious meal including lamb chops – my favourite!
Today we’re looking forward. My bestie is coming for a New Year’s Day brunch that we’ll all enjoy! It will start with Mimosas and go from there. Need I say more?

From our family to yours, all the best in 2023! We wish you health, peace and happiness.

I have joined #bloganuary so I’ll be trying to post something every day this month. Wish me luck!
