Yesterday it was hotter than the hubs of hades – reaching 98ºF/36.7ºC on our shaded deck. Today? Not so much. Started out warm and sultry but the temperature has been dropping all day. Given that there are still massive forest fires in Nova Scotia, and a few here in New Brunswick, cooler temperatures and sporadic rain showers are welcome – the wind is not. The Weather Network is predicting a week of rain so we can only hope it’s sufficient to help control and eradicate the fires and give the fire fighters a break!

Heat really aggravates arthritis and other health issues so, although I much prefer it to the bitter cold of winter, I did find the day exhausting. So today I spent time in my “mini” table-top studio just playing.

I also played with various editing ideas, adding textures, colour grading and so on just to see what would happen.

It was fun grabbing souvenirs from my childhood and combining them in various ways, with and without reflections, to see what they’d look like.

You never know how things will turn out…

But overall it’s been a learning experience, as all experiments are.

Love those photos…. they look so professional… not that you haven’t been that before, but this is a level up!!!!

Thank you so much. I hate the cold and dampness so had to find another way to create images. Working on it.
