With the sun’s strength and the warming temperatures, it is the season to wait with baited breath for the onset of true summer.

Across the road, corn is sprouting up in one of the farmer’s fields, while in the other, grass for hay has been planted and, thanks to one night’s recent rain, it too is popping up and enjoying the sunshine.

Meanwhile, further down Mulberry Lane, lilacs and lupins adorn the bank in front of the neighbour’s house.
Out in our front yard gardens are coming to life as well. The hanging baskets on the front of the deck are dripping with flowers. The rose bushes are loaded with buds, soon to be covered with fragrant, double blossomed white roses, my lilac bush is just beginning to burst forth and the hostas are going beserk!
Yes, spring has sprung, and summer is riding in on her heels.
