First to go were the entrants in the “Intro” class. They got to experience doing a dressage test and being x in both the show jumping ring and riding the path of a course AND the same outside the ring on the Cross Country course. It was their chance to test their memory of the courses and get a feel for the pace needed for competition.
Next up was the Starter Division. In this group the challenges added low jumps both in the ring and out on the course.
As the divisions go up, the challenges and jump heights increase. I missed most of the Pre-Entry Division but was able to catch Haley Baskin’s ride on Mickey.
Next up was the Entry Division.
Last to go was Morgan Killingbeck in the Training Level Division – the highest offered at this event.
All in all it was a lovely day – for the riders, the organizers and the volunteers. And, it was extra special for me as I got to spend some more time with my sister Karen getting to know her a bit better!
